Combo Card (EAD + AP) in 5 Months - AOS Experience

Timeline

Just received my combo card! Filed I-485 with I-765 and I-131 concurrently. Here's my timeline.

Background:

  • EB2 category
  • Priority date became current in February
  • Already had approved I-140

Timeline:

  • I-485/I-765/I-131 filed: March 15, 2025
  • Biometrics: April 10, 2025
  • Combo card approved: August 5, 2025
  • Card received: August 15, 2025

The combo card:

  • It's a single card that works as both EAD and AP
  • Says "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole" on the back
  • Valid for 2 years...

5 months for combo card is great! I've heard some people waiting 8-10 months. Did you file online or paper?

@anita_i140_approved I filed paper because my attorney handled everything. But online filing has been available for a while now and some people report faster processing.

The 5 month timeline was probably luck of the draw with processing times. I've seen people wait longer even with similar filing dates. Don't stress if yours takes longer!
