I-693 Medical Exam - What to Expect and Tips

Just completed my I-693 medical exam for green card. Here's everything you need to know.

Finding a civil surgeon:

• Must be USCIS designated civil surgeon
• Search on USCIS website by zip code
• I used one recommended by my attorney
• Called ahead to ask about wait times and cost

Cost:

• Exam fee: $275
• Vaccinations: $150 (I needed MMR and Tdap boosters)
• Lab tests: Included
• Total: ~$425

What to bring:

• Passport
• ID
• Vaccination records (if you have them!)
• Glasses/contact...
