Just had my EB2 GC interview and it was approved! Many people say EB interviews are rare, but I got one. Here's what happened.

Background:

  • EB2 category via PERM
  • Same employer throughout
  • I-485 filed March 2024
  • Interview notice: September 2025
  • Interview: October 2025

Interview experience:

  • Location: Local USCIS field office
  • Wait time: About 30 minutes
  • Interview duration: 10 minutes

Questions asked:

  1. Are you still working at [company name]?
  2. What do you do there? 3...

Interesting that you got an interview for EB! I thought EB interviews were rare. Did you have any complications in your case that might have triggered the interview? Or was it just random?

@sunita_combo_card No complications that I know of. Clean record, never had an RFE. My attorney said some field offices just interview EB cases more than others. Also might depend on processing load.

The interview was straightforward though - nothing to worry about if your case is clean.
