EB2 India Priority Date Movement - November Visa Bulletin Discussion

The November visa bulletin is out and EB2 India moved by 2 weeks. At this rate, it'll take another 10+ years for my PD to become current.

Current PD: January 2019 November Final Action: April 2012 November Dates for Filing: September 2012

Is anyone else feeling frustrated with the pace? I've been on EAD for 4 years now and the uncertainty is really affecting major life decisions.

For those in similar situations:

I feel your frustration. My PD is 2018 and I've seriously considered the EB3 downgrade. At least EB3 has been moving faster lately. 2 weeks movement per month for EB2 is just painful.

I waited 7 years and finally got mine this year. It's tough but try not to let it consume you. I made the mistake of putting major life decisions on hold. Don't do that. Live your life - buy a house if you want, take vacations, have kids. The GC will come when it comes.

I did the EB3 downgrade and don't regret it. My PD is 2015 and with the faster EB3 movement, I might actually file I-485 before my kids age out. Do the math for your situation - for some people it makes sense.

Tracking the visa bulletin obsessively here! EB2 India has averaged about 2-3 weeks/month this fiscal year. EB3 India has been moving 5-6 weeks/month. If this continues, EB3 will catch up to EB2 within a few years. Something to consider.
