I waited 7 years and finally got mine this year. It's tough but try not to let it consume you. I made the mistake of putting major life decisions on hold. Don't do that. Live your life - buy a house if you want, take vacations, have kids. The GC will come when it comes.

@nikhil_pd_current No issues at all! Once I-140 is approved and you've maintained status, you can change jobs freely. The I-140 stays valid. Just make sure to keep copies of everything - you'll need the priority date when you file I-485. I used H1B transfer for the job changes, so I didn't use AC21 portability. But both paths work.
