I had the same question about 180-day extension! From what I understand: 1. Yes, you're eligible if you filed timely (before expiration) and it's the same category 2. Show your employer: receipt notice + expired EAD + new I-94 3. H4 status expiration is separate - your EAD extension doesn't depend on H4 stamp validity 4. Currently H4 EADs are taking 3-6 months at most service centers Your employer's HR should be familiar with this rule but sometimes they need documentation. USCIS has a FAQ page on it.
